About STEAM Lab:

How’s the young children learn?

STEAM represents the combination of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

The idea of STEAM Lab from Mummy Kevy is to encourage her son and other children to be curious, to wonder, think, play and connect with the world around them, so they will become innovators able to make great contributions to society.

Mummy Kevy believes parents can nurture our child’s natural curiosity by providing him with safe, interesting learning experiences in a supportive atmosphere. She hope this STEAM Lab can provide supportive atmosphere and opportunity for parents to observe and learn together with their child.

What to expect:
-Each activity has been carefully planned for the young children ( 2yrs 6m - 5 yrs) to improve problem solving, investigative skills, and creative thinking skills through hands-on learning, sensory exploration, art, open-ended challenges and also through their own mistakes and successes.

-Each session, your little one will get opportunities to learn
about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) through hands-on activities.

-You will also bring home an art work, speech activity mini book and learning journal to extend your child learning at home!

There will be 2 parts, recommended for kids ( ( 2y6m - 5y)

Weekday sessions (Mandarin session, conducted in bilingual)
26 Jan (Sat) - 4-5.30pm
Part 1 - I am an Astronaut
17 Feb (Sun)- 4-5.30pm
Part 2 - Our Stars and Planets

Fee : $30 per session, min sign up 2 sessions
or $35 per session per child
Venue: Mummy Kevy's sweet home at Pasir Ris

Refund and Cancellation Policy:
-If you are unable to attend, no refund will be payable but you are allowed to transfer to other family/friend to attend.

About mama Kevy:
Hi! I’m Kevy, an engineer turned work-from-home mama with a split personality- a little bit logical and a little bit arty. Since being a mom takes up most of my time these days, my thoughts are often about things to do with Dion, my fun-loving son. Whether it’s painting or building or exploring a sensory side, this creative and crafty mama has been dreaming up ways to inspire his creativity. I hope you can join me on my journey introducing kids to engineered craftiness because exploring the scientific method through art can make for the most fun.

Mama Kevy is the founder of Home Play Singapore, a play date community for children aged 12 years and under. She have experiences in running small scale of sensory playdate at home and playdate in a scale of 50 families. She recently has been appointed by National Museum of Singapore to be their sensory playdate planner & coordinator. She hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree. She is also a graduate of Founder Institute and Startup Leadership Program (SLP), the high selective training program for outstanding founders, leaders, and innovators. She is the first place winner in Urban Prototyping Singapore contest year 2012.
