There will be messy play so please bring along a set of clothes to change. Please along snacks, drinking water, sunscreen, sun hats, insect repellent, picnic mat (optional) and lots of positive energy!!

More about Mama Alice and Mama Huiyun

Mama Alice and Mama Huiyun met each other through Home Play play dates and hit off well. Mama Alice is one of the organisers for Weekly Learn through Play on Tuesday morning and Mama Huiyun runs Let's Move, Sing & Dance with your Tots! music and movement sessions on Thursday mornings.

Both mothers share similar parenting philosophies and enjoy exchanging parenting experiences. In this concrete jungle- Singapore, both hope to bring their children back into the woods where children can experience the true beauty of nature and feel safe and at ease with it. Learning takes place anywhere and anytime. The forest ground offers a whole new perspective of learning in the wild classroom; without ceiling and walls. Studies have shown that kids who play outside are smarter, happier, more attentive, and less anxious than kids who spend more time indoors.

Being closer to Mother Nature also provides our children with natural exposure to microbes which helps them to develop a more balanced immune system. This is extremely important and lacking in our society which places an excessive emphasis on hygiene and cleanliness, leading to a sharp uptick in rates of a variety of chronic inflammatory disorders such as allergies.
