Ancient Bat Tree forest & amazing Wildcats Experience !

Online event

What we'll do
We meet in front of the Union hotel in Occidental. We will drive up to the very hidden property in the redwoods from the Hotel.
This may be your only chance for quite some time to experience this amazing event. Visits were stopped after Covid Lockdowns were implemented.
* Our first stop will be to walk & explore the ancient & huge trees hidden in this private grove. This unique forest has the ability to create it's own weather. One of the trees has a small colony of little Brown Bats. Hopefully they will be home for us to see & photograph.

***NOTE: The new baby Clouded Leopard has arrived. Unbelievably adorable. Only 4 pounds. See him up close. They grow up fast!. Don't even think of missing this amazing experience !

From here we will travel a short way to the hidden Sanctuary of 18 unique & endangered Wildcats. This is not a zoo. You will be up close & may even partially interact & touch one of the beautiful Cheetahs.
The last last new baby Cheetah came to them just before Covid shut things down. (Bummer) The baby has now grown up a bit.

You will learn much about these awesome beautiful animals.
Such as: The cool Fish cat. The amazing Ocelot, The most beautiful Snow Leopard & many more fabulous wildcats.
Following our guided educational & photo tour we will break for a light wine luncheon. I'm sure many of you will have questions.

The Wildcat Foundation is a Non profit organization. The only one of its kind in Ca.
Event/Tour donation is $127.00
Please RSVP with your full pymt of 50% deposit by early next week.

This is one very special experience you will always remember. Plus its a great cause to educate you & preserve the animals that are endangered towards extinction.
NOTE: A new baby has arrived ! Its an adorable mini Sand Cat from the Sahara Desert area. He was 1.5 lbs. & now is a whopping 2.5 lbs. And looks like Yoda when his ears are down. Experience an up close visit with this shy wild cat.

Orr Hot Springs soak and hiking at Montgomery Woods

Orr Hot Springs Resort

Let's get together and soak at Orr hot springs on Saturday and Sunday Nov. 6 & 7 from 12 to 8 p.m. On Sunday we'll go hiking at Montgomery Woods, only 5 minutes away.

This is the perfect time to go to Orr as the weather will have cooled down by then and it hasn't started raining a lot.

Orr recently opened up day-use from 12 to 8 pm. on weekends. Prior to that it was only 4 hours for day use. Day use costs $100 for two people ($50 each). Reservations are required. The Communal Kitchen and dining room are open with limited numbers. Orr is clothing optional in the pools.

You can stay at Orr but it's pretty pricey. I found really good prices at Airbnb's (and motels) in Ukiah. It's about a 30-minute drive from Ukiah.

This is a low key meetup. Time to unwind, unplug and soak. We will get together for dinners and hiking, but everything else is on your own (lodging, reservations, transportation, etc.). Make your reservations early as Orr day use fills up.

I'm a single person so I'm looking for someone who would like to split day-use cost with me. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Brandy
