Just in time for Christmas light season -- and our Clear Lake Christmas Boat Lane Parade photowalk!
Its time for our Annual Custom Bokeh Filter DIY Workshop! You'll be able to create really nifty special effects by turning blurry Christmas lights into custom shapes -- like snowflakes!

Please note: A few people last year were unhappy with the results, make sure you're lens is 2.8 or wider!! Check the following list to see if your lens will work:

Nikon: 50mm F/1.8, 50mm F/1.4, 85mm F/1.8, 28-105mm F/3.5-F/4.5 (not the best, but ok)Canon: 50mm F/1.8, 50mm F/1.4, 85mm F/1.8, 100mm f/2.8L IS USM, possibly 75-300mm f/4-5.6Sigma: 30mm F/1.4

We'll start out eating lunch, then discuss a few details about how your camera's aperture works -- then I'll explain the theory behind the custom bokeh.

All materials will be provided in the workshop, a $10 donation to cover materials is requested. I will also bring my collection of craft hole punches for everyone to use. These normally sell for about $5 to $10 each and I have about 20 of them, so you'll have access to a large number of pricey tools for a low workshop fee! If you own some craft hole punches (especially if they are BIG), bring them! :)
Please bring with you ... a pair of sharp scissors and x-acto knife!

See you there!
