Sunrise Saturday: Eleanor Tinsley Park

Let's practice our silhouette, low light, and sunrise photography. The Eleanor Tinsley Parking area provides a nice elevated location and easy access for some downtown skyscraper photography.

This event is for photographers practicing low-light and sunrise photography. With such limited space, we won't be including guests or +1's for this event. Photographers only, please.

This will be a challenging shoot because Eleanor Tinsley is actually well-lit at night, so you will be practicing night photography with some ambient lighting as well. Should make for some interesting photography!

WHAT TO BRING

• Wipe-on Insect repellant (not sprays!)
• Tripod
• Zoom lens / wide-angle lens
• Shutter trigger
• Rain protection for you and your gear

WHAT TO EXPECT

The meeting time is about 1 hour prior to full sunrise, so you will have the opportunity to shoot in several lighting situations. Or you can do a sunrise timelapse. There is a chance it might rain, so you might even get some "city in the rain" photos.

ABOUT PARKING

There is a parking area next to Eleanor Tinsley Park, enough for about 10 cars. However, sometimes it is blocked off.

An ALTERNATE parking spot is 110 Sabine, park near the back and walk out the back gate, then follow the path across Sabine Bridge, and then the park. The walk is about a half-mile, and there are LOTS to photograph along the way after it's daylight.

COVID-19 INFORMATION:

You will be required to wear a face mask. If you are unable to wear a mask, or choose not to, we will see you at some future event, but not this one.

If you develop a fever, loss of taste/smell, or other COVID-19 symptoms, or have tested positive, or been in contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive 21 days prior to the event, then please stay home.

No additional COVID-19 assurances, promises, or protection can be provided. As with any public activity, we all agree to participate at our own individual risk.

Due to limitations on group gathering size, please do not bring a guest.
