"I know what you're thinking, why are we walking down an ally street where they toss the trash? Believe it or not,the back streets of Galveston have a very rich environment of unusual texture and color. The century-old infrastructures are a fantastic canvas for photographic experimentation and practice." That's how Joe described shooting the back streets of The Strand.
Arrive a bit early - park in the lot across from Starbucks - get caffeinated - and prepare to get creative. The early morning lighting should present some great opportunities for shooting contrasts between highlights and shadows, textures, and stuff you just don't see too often.
