Details

Mercer Arboretum is located on the Northeast side of Houston - in the city of Humble. It offers a variety of plants, flowers, etc. to photograph.

We'll meet near the entrance. You'll be free to walk around and shoot as you want.

Mercer has nicely recovered from "snowmageddon"

FOR OUR NEWER MEMBERS - we've had a lot of new people join recently - many who are new to digital photography, and have lots of questions. I'll be making myself available to answer questions you may have (to the best of our ability...),

CAMERA HINTS / TIPS

Many of the plant and flowers are great choices for macro photography. So if you have a macro, or long telephoto/zoom, bring it.

Mercer does allow the use of tripods, monopods and platipods.

If it's a bit windy, you might consider bringing a flash to help freeze any motion, and shoot in high speed sync mode.

AFTERWARDS

For those that want to, we can meet afterwards at the local drug dealer (Starbucks) at 3031 FM 1960.
