Named for a city on the Italian Riviera, the Portofino Shopping Center brings Italian ambiance to the heart of Texas. The facade has been outfitted with traditional Tuscan, Ionic and Corinthian columns. The center includes statues to represent Roman culture, and are aged to promote the feeling of Old World Venice. You will enjoy making some wonderful images here!

Houston Photowalks is paying a photography fee for a group of our members to visit. Typically, they charge individuals $25.
This location is favored by many wedding and portrait photographers. Unfortunately, they have experienced some difficulty and damage to property the past. So they requested everyone read the photography policies (see below).
Anyway, we're a great group of responsible folks who are happy to clean up after ourselves, not cause damage, not get in the way of people doing business, etc, etc. :)

PORTOFINO CENTER GUIDELINES FOR PHOTO SESSIONS AS OF 2012
DEAR PHOTOGRAPHERS, The Lobby of the Doges Palace and other areas of Portofino Center is a popular backdrop for Photographers. Guidelines have been established regarding all photo sessions in any area of the Shopping Center and should be observed whenever taking photos at Portofino Center:
You must have an appointment. Lobby Photos are to be taken between 3:00-5:00 Mon –Fri; Saturday between 11:00 – 5:00; Lobby locks down via automatic timer and you must be out before the building closes. Closed on Sunday. The primary use of the building is an office building, do not block the stairways or keep our tenants and their clients from doing business in the office building. NO SMOKING, NO ALCOHOL AND NO MUSIC ALLOWED All subjects must be fully and appropriately clothed at all times. Our restrooms are not changing rooms, please have your subjects dressed prior to arriving on site and have any changes made off site. Do not move our plants or any other items on our property or allow others to do so. Do not allow individuals to lean on the walls or on the windows in the Lobby. Be sure that any items you have brought with you are kept neatly and not scattered all over the Lobby and taken with you when you leave. Ensure that noise levels are kept to a minimum; you will notice that the Lobby carries sound throughout the building and it can be quite disruptive to those working upstairs. All minors must be chaperoned by either a parent or guardian. There is no running in the building and children should never be left unattended. Ensure that no one stands in or on the fountains or canals, in addition please do not allow subjects to lean over the stairway railings or otherwise do anything dangerous or risky. We cannot be responsible for any injury or damages or loss of equipment. Any photographs taken at Portofino Center and published in any local or National publication or displayed in any public area should have a byline reading, Photo location: Portofino Center, Shenandoah, Texas. These rules apply to Professional and Non-Professional Photographers. Portofino Center, its Owners, Agents and Management are not responsible for any accident or injury that may occur in the process of any photo session on the Shopping Center Property. You will proceed strictly at your Own Risk. Please advise your subjects accordingly and ensure their understanding prior to proceeding with photo sessions. Portofino Management has the right to change these terms at any time, without notice.
