Who Should Come: Everyone! We have a shelter reserved and plenty of tables! Feel free to bring family & friends! This is the perfect opportunity to meet others, make new friends, and have fun at a laid back summer gathering!
We Provide: Beverages, ice, condiments, dinnerware, charcoal, and shelterhouse.
What You Should Bring:
HCCO is using a potluck planner. Please visit this link (
) to see what other people are bringing and to submit your own contribution! Remember to clearly label all ingredients in the foods you bring so that those with food allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions know which foods are okay to eat. · Any outdoor games or table games to share.
Who do we RSVP to? RSVP the number of people attending to our Meetup event. This helps us to know how many people to plan for when we buy our provided supplies.
Cost: Nothing, you can help us pay for the picnic in one of two ways:
Join as a member or renew your membership with HCCO. We've introduced a lot of monthly recurring memberships, and we are hoping to start making HCCO even bigger and better. Every little bit helps with operating costs and doing events like the picnic and monthly events. Join online at hcco.org.
If you’ve already joined or would like to just donate, you can donate directly through Meetup. Suggested donations start at $5, but we’re happy to accept more.
Activities/Entertainment: The shelter house is located in a local metro park with hiking/biking trails and lots of beautiful outdoor area to socialize and play in.
We’ll provide a table with some interactive activities for kids and games.
Volunteering: We’ll need some help with this party. We’ll need assistance with the following: setup and teardown. We are also open to community members volunteering to entertain during the picnic. Email Rose at coordinator@hcco.org to volunteer.
Food Drive:
Please bring non-perishable goods to demonstrate Humanist values within our community. All collected food will be given to a local food pantry to help alleviate hunger in our area.
Pets:
Pets are welcome in this park, but may not be welcome in all parts of it. If you bring an animal along, please be sure it is leashed and to clean up after it.
