Join us for our first annual all-day MeetUp of all three IAF England & Wales regional facilitation meetup groups, in central Birmingham on Saturday 22 October during International Facilitation Week (https://www.iaf-world.org/site/pages/international-facilitation-week), #FacWeek (https://twitter.com/search?q=%23FacWeek)!
To see who has RSVPd from the other Meetup groups, see also IAF North of England Facilitators & Friends (http://www.meetup.com/IAF-North-of-England-facilitators-and-friends/events/230660441/) and IAF South West of England Facilitators & Friends (http://www.meetup.com/IAF-South-West-England-facilitators-and-friends/events/230660578/).
This will be a participant-led, peer sharing event - an opportunity for you to network, share and learn with others who facilitate or share an interest in facilitation. It will be one of dozens of such face-to-face and online events worldwide, promoting and celebrating the power of facilitation for International Facilitation Week 2016.
What sort of sessions would you like to participate in, or lead? Are you willing to help to publicise the event, finalise the programme and organise the day? Please share your suggestions, offers and requests in a comment below.
As of Tuesday 18 October we have around 20 booked from the 3 meetup groups, and the following sessions offered & suggested:
Gary Austin - facilitating leadership development workshops using Lumina Spark profiling
Elizabeth McDonnell - intercultural facilitation esp. where there is a great deal of variation in English language competencies among participants
Martin Gilbraith - 3 sessions from the recent at #IAFEMENA16 (http://www.iafemena16.org/7-.html) Netherlands conference:

• Is there a single, universal principle of facilitation? Mine's ORID! (https://martingilbraith.com/2015/10/18/is-there-a-single-universal-principle-of-facilitation/)

Of course your own proposals, offers and questions on the day will be welcome as well.
The Meetup will be free to attend and all are welcome, members and non-members of IAF (http://www.iaf-world.org/) alike.
Venue & catering costs will be met by IAF England & Wales, excluding lunch. Participants may bring their own lunch, or buy lunch together in small groups in the many eateries nearby. Nearby options for accommodation and dining will be suggested for those wanting to stay and eat together the evening before.
