Outdoor Shamanic Journey Circle-The Great Rabbit Spirit

  • This location is shown only to members

The Great Rabbit Spirit calls! The wisdom of Rabbit has been teaching humanity since the beginning of time. This symbol of spring and fertility has become associated with the Christian day called Easter. The Rabbit brings us gifts and treats on this Sunday (even for those who are not Christian), the Sunday after the first full moon after Spring Equinox.

Rabbit Spirit knows that you know... Rabbit wisdom, is far older than recent "Easter" tales.

For this circle, we will connect with the Great Giver "Rabbit".

In China, it is one of the astrological animals and linked too good fortune and the moon.

The Rabbit is also linked with the goddess Hecate.

Among the Ojibwe, Nanabozho is a spirit, and figures prominently in their storytelling, including the story of the world's creation.

Nanabozho was one of four sons of Wiininwaa ("Nourishment"),[1] a human mother, and E-bangishimog ("In the West"), a spirit father.

Nanabozho most often appears in the shape of a rabbit and is characterized as a trickster. In his rabbit form, he is called Mishaabooz ("Great rabbit" or "Hare") or Chi-waabooz ("Big rabbit"). He was sent to Earth by Gitchi Manitou to teach the Ojibwe. One of his first tasks was to name all the plants and animals. Nanabozho is considered to be the founder of Midewiwin. Like the Egyptian god Thoth, he is thought to be the inventor of fishing and hieroglyphs. This deity is a shape-shifter and a cocreator of the world

In the traditions of Egypt and Persia there are such rabbit gods, and they were particularly honored in the Springtime.

The Rabbit has wisdom for you on this day!

Join us for this week's Shamanic Journey Circle, which falls on Easter Sunday. Using the shamanic journey we will ask our Big Rabbit guide for meaningful tails/tales of amazing/helpful rabbit energy, told thru shared trance. We will share two journey sessions. Bring your drum/rattle if you have one.

Also, You are welcome to bring something to honor Rabbit energy.

ISA has taken the Rabbit as its Animal Guide...Quynn will tell the story 'why' in this circle.

Wish I could come to this one in particular, but I have other plans. Rabbit is one of my Power Animals, taking on quite a healing role. She has shared her fur for many requests for physical and emotional healing (for myself and others), and I have memory of her being by my side from a very young age. I returned the favor once by doing a journey for healing when a friend's pet rabbit got hurt. Enjoy Rabbit's beautiful energy!
