Lets Drum for Fun

The hand drum has been used for thousands of years in celebrations, rituals and ceremonies. However, this time we need to think of the fun we have in drumming. When was the last time you just plain played with a group of people who wanted to drum because it made them feel good? It's time to connect with your drum to allow the vibration to seep through your soul! It's time to feel the rhythm penetrate to your very core center. Let's play in a powerful way. Let's dance to our own rhythm!

As a drum facilitator, I have personally witnessed the power of the drum to relax the tense, energize the tired, and heal the emotionally wounded. I have also observed the hand drum's extraordinary and consistent ability to create states of euphoria, induce light trance, promote play, release anger and promote feelings of community and unity.

In this century, when we seem to be moving farther and farther away from ourselves and our deeper needs, the drum, through its simplicity, effortlessness and naturalism, offers us a link back to that which we knew before technology separated us from our soul.

Through providing a channel back to our deeper nature, the drum concurrently provides those who use it with a link to others. The drum seems to have the capacity to unite all individuals who choose to experience it together.

Please bring a drum, this will be a circle of drumming. If you do not have one please come anyway. We have a few to lend and if there aren't any left dance to the music and enjoy the experience of the Power of the Drum.

This session is offered by a $5.00 to $10.00 donations to assist ISA to continue to offer sessions such as this. Ask from within and give as directed. Thank you for your generous donations and for joining in the Power of the Drum.
