What we’re about
The Rock County Chapter and Dane County Chapter each host workdays and special events throughout the year. The Rock Co chapter's Walk Across Rock County program rewards hikers to who have walked all Ice Age Trail segments in Rock Co. Dane Co chapter has the Dane Drifters program for finishing segments in Dane Co.

Mammoth Challenge Hike - Cross Plains
ice age alliance cross plains hwy 14, ice age alliance office, Venezuela, VEWork on the Ice Age Trail Alliance's Mammoth Hike challenge (individually or as team, hike 45 miles on Ice Age Trail and visit 3 Trail Communities in October).

We'll do 4-6 miles total. We'll start with 4 mile loop through the Andersen Preserve portion (moderate difficulty with hiking up and down bluff) of the Cross Plains Segment along with walking along Black Earth Creek and past the IATA Office. But we can add 2 miles with an out-and-back through Glacial Valley Conservancy portion of the trail heading south out of Cross Plains.
Cross Plains is a Trail Community to go towards the Challenge!
There are no bathrooms at trailhead, but there's a Culver's and a Kwik Trip when you come into town on Highway 14.
