Monkey Butler Workshop - Downtown Denver - Levels 1 & 2
Monkey Butler is a FREE Improv Comedy Acting Workshop open to all ages and skill levels. The beginner (Level 1) workshop runs from 7-8:45pm, and the intermediate and advanced workshop (Level 2) runs from 9 to 10:45pm. Beginners are welcome to stay to watch the development of the more advanced students. This downtown Denver location is new, beginning June 2018. Our improv comedy coaches at this location are Tom Grimmer (who trained in Orlando, Florida, at the SAK Comedy Lab, training with improv comedian celebrity Wayne Brady) and J. Murdock (previously the Director of Monkey Butler Boulder and Berrien Springs as well as the Director/Creator of the Red Pill Improv group in Riverside, California). This unique form of fun and creativity is a wonderful way to break free of your everyday roles and let loose in an encouraging environment. Join us every Thursday night at 7pm and make new friends while growing in your improv skills. The environment is laid back and the idea is to have fun and learn. It's a great way to learn a little about yourself, meet new people, break up your routine, and give back a little to the community. We occasionally do volunteer performances for local charities, churches, and programs. Come and check us out and join in the fun! We look forward to seeing you there - Just drop on by! When? You are improvising every day of your life.
Experience the joy of improv!

The purpose of our Improv Comedians group is to introduce free family friendly weekly improv comedy workshops through the Monkey Butler improv comedy co-sponsored organization, and invite other improv comedy groups to collaborate with the Monkey Butler organization.

Why learn improv comedy? "Your life is not scripted. You are improvising every day of your life." says Monkey Butler improv coach Tom Grimmer. As Improv Comedians' co-organizer, I believe improv comedy guides us to experience the joy of improv! "Your life is not scripted. You are improvising every day of your life." Fran Rew, co-organizer of Improv Comedians, believes that the lessons of improv comedy are exercises in experiencing the joy of improv, in our everyday lives.

So who should join us? Everyone, of all ages!

For the summer of 2018, Monkey Butler's free weekly Thursday night workshops will be located in downtown Denver, on the west boundary of the Platt River, at 3455 West Ringsby Court, Suite 102, Denver, CO 80216.

Our improv comedy coach, Tom Grimmer, was trained in improv comedy at the SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando, Florida, with the Disney World staff, and with the famous "Who's Line iIs It Anyway?" improv comedian, Wayne Brady.

The Monkey Butler Denver improv comedians (http://www.monkeybutlerdenver.com/) weekly Thursday 7-9 PM workshops are a mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced improv comedy performers. Monkey Butler's intermediate and advanced level performers are available for hire (http://www.monkeybutlerdenver.com/hire-us/) at special events. Their mixed beginner, intermediate and advanced performers continue to perform at community service events.

Tim Cress (Diver Tim), founder of Monkey Butler Denver, is a Seventh Day Adventist pastor, actor, improv comedy coach, and most especially an ocean-loving scuba diver, with his beautiful multi-talented wife and 2 children. Even though Tim has moved his family back to their roots in Los Angeles, California, thanks to the support of LifeSource Adventist Fellowship (http://lafdenver.org) (LAF), since 2010, Monkey Butler Denver continues to grow in Denver, Colorado.

Most the the Monkey Butler Denver group news is shared on their group Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/monkeybutlerdenver/members/).

As a member of this Improv Comedians group on Meetup, even if you're not with Monkey Butler, you are welcome to post and host your own choice of improv comedy events throughout the Denver metro area.

Our Improv Comedians group's co-sponsors are Monkey Butler Denver (http://www.monkeybutlerdenver.com/hire-us/) and the TopicTalkWalks.com (http://www.Meetup.com/TTWalks) (TTWalks (https://www.meetup.com/ttwalks/) on Meetup). TTWalks is a free family-friendly walking conversation Meetup group, with science edutainment "Journey from Nature to Science" themes. This year's TTWalks' theme is "Urban Forest Science Edutainment." (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lU_t706bfLE)
