Cool Eco hike, Bodega Cliffs, tunnels, seafood & caves & more ! Saturday, November 24,[masked]:30 AM to 5:05 PM Add to calendar Union Hotel 3731 Main St. · Occidental, ca Details NOTE: WE usually meet at the "Wildflour Bread Co." for amazing breads & a stroll thru their beautiful gardens. It is at 140 Bohemian Hwy. in Freestone. The lines can be long, but they move quickly. Only a couple of miles from the Union hotel. But the sun sets early & we have to move faster to beat the darkness. Meet in front of the Union Hotel in Occidental. Its at the intersection of Bohemian Hwy. & Main St. ***We have no daylight saving time so we have to move faster between locations. 1. From the Union hotel we go a short distance to the hidden Ecological preserve. The waterfalls are pretty dry right now. But wait till the rains come. After they arrive; there are waterfalls galore, infinity pools, & inkwells & more. This is a very unique & beautiful but short hike. Great for photos & some climbing; so wear good hiking shoes. Always bring a jacket !!!! 2. Next stop is to Bodega bay & our lunch stop by the water & crab traps. Either bring a lunch or savor the best clam chowder that you can dip your succulent crab sandwich in. The Best ! in the Bay area. I will have wine for you. (Personal varietals). Also the usual snacks, gourmet fruit & nut packs, water, juices, teas, Wine Country Sodas, & more. After our lunch we will visit the nearby Bodega Head. That's where the hole in the Head is. Then a short run up the head to look for whales & explore the sculptured cliffs & the tunnels & caves; if we have a low tide. 3. Onward North from here to view all the amazing cliff top locations for great photo opportunities on the beautiful Sonoma Coast. I have other great alternate options from here depending on the weather & sunlight. (Jenner beach/cliffs & Russian river) Our dinner option (If you are hungry) is at the soon to be famous "Russia House # 1. It's right on & overlooking the Russian river. Amazing location. Great home cooked Russian food & more. Ask me & I'll explain it in better detail. (very unique) Ok. Its getting dark. Go home or I'll take you back to your car . ** Wear good hiking shoes. No gym shoes; Bring a jacket & hat & gloves. But I'll have all that available if you forget, plus hiking poles . Donation: $25-30. Use p.pal(friends & family option only) $ or chk. or Chase.com/zelle. DEATH IS THE ONLY EXCUSE TO BE A "NO SHOW". Meetup is trying to weed out the Flakes !!! And please remove your RSVP in a timely manner if you can't make it. ( a huge thank you for this) **Last minute show ups are fine on this event..... **Its best to use a desktop comp. , print up the page as a ref. w/your mobile app. (Or you may miss important info) ***See you on the 24th & the maybe the very cool "Sensory Overload " Tour on the 25th. What we're about

Any & all who wish to meet great people , make new friends, network, explore unique & hidden places in nature all over the Bay area. Many Outings are wine related, but optional to participate in. Not a runners group , as we are more into exploratory hikes, photography, adventure, biking, Zip Lining, kayaking, Art & Wine & Cultural tours, Hawaii adventure trips & more. There are over 40 different events & outings to take part in. Outdoor treks are rated as very easy to extreme. No boring point A to point B hikes. All ages are welcome & some events are kid & dog friendly. I have over 25 years experience conducting outings to places most never knew existed. or have seldom seen.
These events bring people closer together & by days end all are usually one big happy family. Most outings end with an always fun optional social dinner gathering. Some events require equipment rentals & must be pre-paid. Other outings ask for a reasonable donation . * Most all outings include: Water, Juices, Tea, Energy & protein Drinks, Coffee lattes, an abundant variety of trail bars, other snacks, Gourmet Fruit & Nut packs, hiking poles, jackets, hats, gloves, parking fees, car pooling, shuttles, personal Wine varietals, & a ton of fun.
You may bring a guest with you. But be advised; come once & you may be hooked.
So get out there with us. You won't be disappointed.
