Sensorio Art Installation - Selling Out - Purchase Tickets Now

Details

"...there is nothing quite like the mind-bending spectacle now on display at dusk in the hills of Paso Robles here, a popular wine destination. That is the witching hour when thousands of solar-powered glass orbs on stems, created by the artist Bruce Munro, enfold visitors in an earthbound aurora borealis of shifting hues." - New York Times

Our visit to the Sensorio art installation is part of our Wine Weekend in Paso Robles/Santa Margarita January 4-5, 2020. You can join us for one or all of the events. See #2 below for details on Sensorio and how to join us.

Options for the Wine Weekend:

  1. Lunch/wine tasting of premium pinot noir with winemaker Coby Parker Garcia: https://www.meetup.com/Inside-Wine-Santa-Barbara/events/267460533/ You must RSVP on our Meetup page if you'd like to join us BEFORE 12:30 in the afternoon Friday.

  2. Saturday night, January 4th SENSORIO ART INSTALLATION visit:
Over 50,000 solar-powered optic lights cover the rolling hills of Paso Robles near Vino Robles Ampitheater. There are two price levels to visit the show and you will purchase your tickets directly from the Sensorio website. VIP tickets offer priority seating, box dinner, two drink tickets for $110. Regular admission is $35. There will be food trucks and wine vendors. Note: you can stay as long as you like; event closes at 10 pm.

Tickets are sold out, but they sell tickets at the door. An email from Sensorio questioning if there will be any problem obtaining tickets said: "Hello, We start selling onsite tickets at 6:30. We will sell them until 8:15. We have never turned anyone away. Best, Sensorio"

La Quinta Inn & Resorts is just 6 minutes from Sensorio—our destination Saturday night, January 4th. La Quinta offers free wifi, complimentary hot/cold breakfast buffet, a pool and spa, fitness room and more. Their full-kitchen, studio suites offer the same amenities plus fireplaces and complete kitchens!

BOOK YOUR ROOM TODAY by calling La Quinta Inn & Resorts at 805-239-3004 and asking for the “Inside Wine Santa Barbara” discount. Suites normally $249/night are ours for just $129, plus if you want to make a full weekend of your stay in Paso Robles, our Friday night rate is just $119.

Note: their lobby will be in the midst of renovation, but will not impact our rooms with noise or dust. They have a pet-friendly policy but also have rooms on the 3rd floor for people like me who are mildly allergic to dogs.

Can’t make our January 4-5 Wine Weekend? Our friends at La Quinta are offering ALL our members a 20% discount if you stay with them anytime in January or February. Call 805-239-3004 and tell them you are an Inside Wine Santa Barbara member.
