La Llorona en Tlahuac - Open air theatre with boat ride
Details
Join us on an unique experience, the open air theater La Llorona in Tlahuac, where we can arrive only by traditional trajinera boat.
We pick you up at Metro Etiopia or Metro Chilpancingo in Mexico City at 17.00. And then we drive to the Port of Tlahuac (around 1 hour 15 minutes), where they await us with their traditional trajinera boats.
There we take a boat ride at dusk through a beautiful channel, to a beautiful garden where the theater will take place, accompanied by live music. The show is in Spanish, but is very visual and musical, so you can still enjoy this amazing event in case you don´t speak Spanish.
The legend of La Llorona is deeply rooted in Mexican popular culture, and tells the story of a Mexican vengeful ghost who is said to roam near bodies of water mourning her children who she drowned in a jealous rage after discovering her husband was cheating on her.
The event starts at 19.30, and before and after the show we can enjoy the beautiful altars and other Day of the Dead decorations in the garden along the channel. Plus you can try traditional Mexican food and drinks. We will be back at the Meetup place around 23.45.
The price of this unique experience is 950 pesos and includes round transport for our small group, boat ride and the ticket of the Llorona event. From 17.00 to 23.45 hrs.
Reservations on Whatsapp 5513083732, Lidia Herrera.
