Details

Let´s make an amazing walk of around 2 hours in the Piedras Encimadas valley, in the State of Puebla, at around 3.5 hours from Mexico City. Also visiting the beautiful town of Zacatlan, one of the 177 Pueblos Mágicos.

The Piedras Encimadas Valley (Stacked Stones in English), is a series of small valleys in the Zacatlán municipality of Puebla in central Mexico. The main feature of the zone is basalt rock formations in capricious forms, created by erosion over millions of years. An incredible place for a hike of around 2 hours.

Zacatlan town. Its name comes from the Nahuatl “Zacatl” and means “place where grass abounds.” It is located at the top of the Barranca de los Jilgueros and is surrounded by a forested landscape. It is one of the most beautiful and picturesque towns in the Sierra Norte de Puebla and is famous for being one of the main apple producing centers in the country and for being surrounded by countless natural beauties.
Walking through the center of this picturesque town you can enjoy its large gardens, portals and large mansions.

The price is 950 pesos and includes transport for our small group and a guided walkis in Piedras Encimadas and Zacatlan, in English and Spanish.
