ECLIPSE - Hiking Xitle Volcano in Mexico City

Let's have an unique experience, by hiking up the amazing Xitle volcano in Mexico City, during the solar eclipse of Monday 8th of April. The weather forecast looks fantastic, and the views from the top of the volcano, at 3100 meters, will be breathtaking !!!

In Mexico City, the Moon will cover the Sun between 70% and 89%. The eclipse will begin at 10:55 am and the moment of maximum coverage will be at 12:14 pm, and it will end at 1:36 pm.

The hike is 3 hours in total and not too heavy, since we start at around 2900 meters. Plus we take around 1 hour at the top of the volcano, to relax and to enjoy the wonderful views and the solar eclipse. Bring your blanket and favorite food for a pick-nick !

The hike is possible with or without transport.
* With transport by car or van: pickup near Metrobus Perisur at 10.00 ; return around 15.00. Price 550 pesos per person.
* Without transport: meetpoint near the Xitle volcano, at 10.30 ; return around 14.30. Price 400 pesos per person.
