Prior to her position with Technology Services, Emily was a city planner in Public Works, focusing on improving access and mobility through studies, projects and programs within the right-of-way, from station area studies to multi-modal bridges and large-scale development. Emily began her work with the built environment as an Art Director with the Boys & Girls Club, focusing on healthy eating and active living as key elements of community building. Emily holds a BA degree in Comparative Arts from Washington University and a Master of Planning and a Master of Urban Design from the University of Colorado Denver.

IoT, Industry 4.0 – Setting a Course for Success

What good is all the data from IoT devices if you cannot harness it on the “Edge” and expose the value of that data to it’s greatest advantage both within your organization or that of your key partners and vendors. Industry 4.0 is a certainly all a buzz. It is conceivable that it will be the next be industrial revolution; but only if the data and insights from that data are ‘democratized to those who can benefit and take advantage of it’.

The next IoT Meet UP on March 13th will shed considerable light on how pursuing the promise of the Internet of Things is being achieved, today, with proven approaches and technologies.

Robert Baer from OSIsoft, makers of PI System software, will lead a discussion around the capture of data right on the edge and then seamlessly incorporating the data, and informational insights of that data, into an Operational Data Infrastructure.

Forward thinkers are creating tremendous value from harnessing data, this will be a MeetUp to challenge each of us to think more critically about capturing and using our data.
