#35 - Paola Rossaro in conversation with Michele Ursino: API Performance

Details
The cloud started about 10 years ago and has become one of the main
contributors to the digital transformation. And with new technologies come also new challenges. Which often drive new innovations.
Performance has always been part of software development. In the past
it was often considered marginal to specific applications and/or
architectures. With the cloud and millions of users going through
thousands of applications every day, it has become product feature # 1,
according to Google and many companies and researches.
But what is performance today? Performance has changed too, as it
needs to tackle new methodologies and technologies, such as containers, Continuous integration and Deployment, API and microservices, just to name a few. And the solutions used in the past not always offer adequate responses to these new needs.
The conversation with Michele Ursino will be centered on the new
challenges of performance testing and tools and techniques that can be
used to handle it.
