Since on the originally scheduled evening it was raining so much that the PCH in Oside was flooding and guys were surfing in the streets (yup, really!), we decided to cancel and reschedule - Looking forward to seeing you on the 18th! :-)

• WHAT WE'LL DO: Gather in a small group to play Scopa; drink wine, etc; socialize and relax. Scopa is a traditional Italian card game and lots of fun.

Anyone's welcome to join us for these casual, Italian-inspired evenings.

If you don't know how to play, we'll show you.

Italian language skills are NOT required, but if you do study or speak the language, this IS an opportunity to practice.

The traditional game of Scopa is played across Italy with the traditional 40-card deck featuring 4 semi (suits): denari (coins), spade (swords), bastoni (clubs) and coppe (cups).

• WHAT TO BRING: All materials provided.

• COST: We'll collect a nominal fee of $5 at the event to defray Meetup & organizing costs. Be prepared to order drinks (food available, too) from Bagby, who are graciously hosting us.

• PARKING: On the street nearby or in Bagby's parking lot

• ATTENDANCE POLICY: We appreciate your consideration. If you sign up for an event and your plans change, be considerate and change your RSVP to NO. A member will be removed from the group after two (2) no-shows.
