Hello everyone!

This August, we're glad to have folks from EPAM Continuum (www.continuuminnovation.com), a global innovation design firm joining us to talk about using the power of design to discover innovative ideas and realize them as powerful products, services and brand experiences.

Topics we will be covering:
- Landscape of global innovation and transformation in organisations
- How design is playing it's role within their clients
- Innovation in the Spatial space
- From idea to innovation, the process
- Prototyping through Made Real Lab
- and more...

This meetup is suitable for designers who are interested to learn more about design in the innovation and transformation space.

Maggie Peng, Managing Director, EPAM Continuum
----------------------------------
Maggie is passionate about improving lives through design. Her craft is rooted in architecture, interior design, and urban design where she leverages human centered insights to create impactful change, experiences and value for clients, their organizations, and communities. She works in a variety of scales, from urban visions to buildings, spaces and products bringing a holistic and systems approach from micro to macro and back again.

As Managing Director of EPAM Continuum Shanghai, she believes in the power of design to ignite innovation and problem solve some of the most challenging questions we face. Growing up between Asia and the US, her bi-cultural background lends itself to her global yet local perspective to bridge differences and find opportunities for innovation.

Previously, Maggie was a Design Lead at IDEO and worked at NBBJ as a Senior Project Designer. She received her BA in Environmental Studies/Art History from UC Santa Cruz and a Masters of Architecture from UC Berkeley.

----------------------------------
Zach Hyman, Design Strategist, EPAM Continuum

Zach has helped plan and run product and services projects around mobile phones, healthcare, agriculture, transportation, and education, and has worked in China, Myanmar/Burma, Vietnam, Jordan, Italy, Thailand, Japan, Denmark, England, and the United States.

Zach’s writing has appeared in Fast Company, The Atlantic, Touchpoint—The Journal of Service Design, and Core77. He has guest lectured for classes at Stanford’s d.school, Carnegie Mellon School of Design, and the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and has presented at MidwestUX and the Ethnographic Praxis in Industry Conference.

Before enrolling at Carnegie Mellon School of Design, he received a Fulbright grant to conduct ethnographic research into innovation across China. In addition to English, Zach speaks Burmese and Mandarin Chinese.

Agenda for the evening
----------------------------------
7:00pm - 7:30pm: Registration, networking, refreshments
7:30pm - 8:30pm: Conversation with EPAM Continuum
8:30pm - 9:00pm: Questions and networking

We're hoping to keep the session really informal and casual where it is more conversation centric so bring along some burning questions to the session. The value of the meetup is as good as the questions asked :)

As we have very limited space, please only RSVP if you can make it so that others can confirm their attendance. See you there!
