JCRES: Jeff Lyng: Powering Forward - and keeping tabs

Jeff is a Senior Policy Advisor with the Center for the New Energy Economy where he co-authored a new report titled Powering Forward: Presidential and Executive Agency Actions to Drive Clean Energy in America.

He maintains the Advanced Energy Legislation Tracker, a database of advanced energy legislation introduced in all 50 states.

He is the immediate past Board Chair of the American Solar Energy Society, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the use of solar energy and energy efficiency in the U.S.

Jeff served as the Renewable Energy Policy Manager in the Colorado Governor’s Energy Office. He was the administration’s lead in developing a number of Colorado’s energy efficiency and renewable energy policies including the 30% Renewable Portfolio Standard. Jeff has also worked as a technical consultant at Xcel Energy in the company’s demand side management and solar programs.
