Geothermal’s Low Carbon Energy Solutions

Heat from below ground is a source of low carbon energy suitable to heat and cool our buildings. A number of technologies tap into either temperature differences or very high heat abundant in deeper yet still accessible strata. Some are industrial in scale and benefit from oil industry know-how but others are available to the average home owners with a yard.
Here to tell us about the promise of geothermal in its many facets is NREL’s manager for geothermal technologies Amanda Kolker, PhD. A geologist by training with wide ranging international experience in research, government, and private industry, Dr. Kolker is a thought leader in renewable energy strategy.
In-person event. Covid protocol may still be in effect.
