What you will learn:
- Why is Test Driven Development (TDD) helpful?
- Some rules to follow when you do development with TDD approach
- Hands-on experience by applying TDD in problem-solving
Who should attend:
- You are already familiar with one programming language.
- You are familiar with one unit testing library in that language.
- You know how to start a new project with your favorite IDE/editor.
- You heard about TDD but haven’t used it much before (or you would like to do more hands-on exercise to polish your skills)
What you need to bring with you:
- your IC card (to register at the security desk)
- your laptop with your development environment setup
Agenda:
- Talk: Introduction to Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Hands-on exercises (you can do the exercises with the programming language you are most familiar with).
As an introduction to TDD, the facilitators will roughly follow the content in the first 10 chapters in this free online book, although they would customize the content by combining their experiences for TDD.
