International Jazz Festival at The Beaches! (Free)

Details
This has been a very popular event in the past few years. Around 400 RSVPs from our meetup groups last year. Mark you calendar to join us for a pleasant jazz evening!
------------------------------------
Join us lakeside at Woodbine Park for the launch of the Beaches International Jazz Festival and the kick-off to the Festival’s 26th year celebrations, which features the TD Main Stage and our brand newToronto Port Authority Youth Stage, and the Party Island Stage. Our Party Island Stage is also new for 2014, fusing a kaleidoscope of African and Afro-Caribbean sounds for your listening and dancing pleasure. All three stages are active July 18, 19 and 20 of 2014.

Tips for an enjoyable stay: Located at the western edge of the Beach community, Woodbine Park is situated at the corner of Northern Dancer Boulevard and Lake Shore Boulevard East (Northern Dancer is between Coxwell and Woodbine Avenues). If you plan to stay a while – and we encourage you to – bring sun screen and a hat, a big blanket or folding chairs to rest on, and (yes it’s sometimes necessary) – rain gear. Because we’re lakeside, it can get cool at night, so bring a sweater or just cozy up to your neighbour.
You can also grab a seat in our licensed beer garden! Various food kiosks are located throughout the site. Woodbine Park is wheelchair accessible.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Reminders:
Remember to bring your ID if you like to sit inside the beer garden area.
My mobile number is provided in a comment below, but I can only reply texts rather than phone calls. (And not promptly, sorry.)
If you cannot find the meeting spot but are near by, follow the music!!
Meeting Spot:
Woodbine Park Stage
-- The first two columns of the tables inside the fence (where the beer garden is serving) if you like to sit down or chill up with a beer.
-- The ground in front the stage, outside but close to the fence if prefer to stand or dance to the music...
These two spots are next to each other, while separated by a fence.
We talked to the supervisor there last night and we were told that you do NOT need to buy anything from them to sit inside the alcoholic area with beer garden. You can even bring your own foods etc. there. (Not sure whether you may bring your own alcoholic beverages there though.) The seats are first come first serve. (We will manage to get some tables for our members to sit close by.)
More details:
We will set up a big sign on a table near the entrance of the "beer garden" area (to the right hand side of the stage if you face it).
At least one of the co-hosts (Chris, Frank, Lisa, and maybe some other friends/volunteers attending the event) will be there to greet you and provide you with info (where the group members etc.)
We will provide name tags for you if you like to put it on. (It's optional.)
Note: Everything from the meetup organizers/co-hosts will be free to our members. We don't take commission from the beer garden owner or Jazz event organizer or anyone else. Just a service to the community. If we can negotiate a discount for our members for anything, we'll pass the saving to our members completely.
