Day people=FILLED

A camping weekend where the fun never ends --in a great setting, on a private lake surrounded by natural forest. http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/6/9/7/9/event_39387001.jpeg(sorry no pets - adults only) -- This is the Kayaking Clubs 4th season camping here-- each year gets better and better!

Facility: Yale Univ. Outdoor Center, 298 Upper Pattagansett Road, East Lyme, CT 06333. Nestled on mile long Powers Lake, surrounded by forest. Home to a beach front swimming area, doc and swim out raft. Picnic areas are centrally located around the lake with grills and beautiful views; Free use of club *boats (see below). Very large fishing doc with built in seating. Doc is a great place to do yoga, meditate, or read (and fish). Hiking trails across the road. Beautiful country roads for bike rides.

*Kayaks/Canoes/Rowboats and other things The club offers kayaks, canoes and rowboats. If you use the club boats, please note that there are stipulations to follow, for insurance reasons, and that includes not wandering out of their site, or using within hours designated. If you care to bring your own, then you will need to put in on the state boat ramp (located around the block); Directions: out of the facility, bear sharply right, follow road for about 1-2 miles, boat launch is on the right. The advantage to bringing your own is for a sunset kayak trip, or being able to wander around without stipulations. In adidition, there is a pingpong room, volleyball court, basketball, bocci, and horseshoes.
