This is a group for curious people who want to understand the world ie those interested in philosophy, and who want to improve themselves and the world. This group focusses on trying to make the world a better place through the philosophy of Karl Popper and other philosophers.
No preparation required - material provided for each session. Learn more about one of the most misunderstood yet great philosophers, Karl Popper, and how his humanistic, tolerant, wide ranging, critical rationalist philosophy will not only make you a better person, but hopefully the world a better place. See some quotes below by some Nobel winners re Popper. (In the 'Photos' section of this page - some previous Meetup material has also been uploaded in the photos section)
'Today's world needs Karl Popper's philosophy more than ever' - is one conjecture for this group to be discussed in a spirit of friendly critical debate. A visit to a café/hotel to continue discussions after each meetup is also planned.
