It is well known that training in the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) brings one's mind, body, and spirit together in a balanced union. As a result, training makes us more balanced and grounded - a perfect foundation for healing ourselves emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and even physically.
In our classes - an American style of martial arts - you are taught on many levels, not just the physical. The lessons learned in martial arts class carry over quite directly into your daily life and improve your ability to cope with and get the most out of life.
Through our classes you will develop your "ki", that force or inner energy that lies within all of us but often goes untapped. Classes are structured to also increase your awareness on many levels - mentally, physically, and even spiritually. Through class, you will also develop greater self-discipline and gain greater self-confidence, two traits that help us in all aspects of life.
Then too, of course, classes increase and fine-tune your physical conditioning - but you need not be in any particular shape to join. Through working out you will find the often-unexpected benefit of excellent stress relief. After class you will feel great - relaxed and on a "natural high".
Last but not least, you will learn practical self-defense. After attending class for a time, you will know how to neutralize any attack someone might throw at you. In this day and age, everyone needs to know at least some self-defense.
So come join us! Class is casual, and we have a lot of fun while learning serious martial arts. You owe it to yourself to try at least one class!
Please wear comfortable clothing such as sweats and a t-shirt. We will be using boxing gloves, so bring them if you have them. If not, we do have a couple of pairs of boxing gloves to loan to students during class.
Donations cheerfully accepted in any amount - but are totally the student's option.
