FoodCycle's lovely volunteers use unwanted food to produce three course, meat-free recipe (tell them you're vegan) community meals across England, that are free to all.

FoodCycle Woolwich (map|video) is every Friday (with rare exception; I'm notified by text), at Woolwich Common Community Centre's accessible main hall.

I sometimes help the Hosting team, and have met a few other vegan volunteers, inc. chef and fellow SE18 Vegans member John, who has a vegan daughter like me :-)

Karmana concept is much more than just another restaurant!
Northampton’s first Vegan 100% Plant based Cuisine and Juice Bar and serve variety of globally inspired healthy plant based dishes. Oct 2014 when we open a door there weren’t any fully plant based restaurant in town.
We are licensed and all our beers and wines organic and vegan. But you Can Bring your own too (small corkage charge applies)

Plant based (Sattvic) Food. We get our inspiration from around the globe. In particular, where a plant based diet has been the norm for 1000s years which has proven longevity and healthy life style for generations.

“Karmana” is a Sanskrit word that refers to “deed”, “work”, “action” and it is also the “object”, the “intent”. These three words are together used to describe a state of consistency expected of an individual. The motto Manasa (thoughts), Vaacha (speech), Karmana (actions) is usually invoked to imply that one should strive to achieve the state where one’s thoughts, speech and the actions coincide. May your thoughts, expressions and actions be in harmony with who you are!. Karmana

Karmana supports and loves artists, music, and helps build true sense of community. The percentage of net profit goes to good causes. We do this without ticking any boxes.

Menu Explained
Karmana Menu excludes all products taken from animals. These include any meat, poultry, game, fish, shellfish, by-products of slaughter or any foods that come directly from killing an animal, such as fats and gelatine. This category also excludes recipes containing dairy products, eggs and honey.
If you suffer from a food allergy or intolerance, please inform your server upon placing your order. Even if you have eaten the dish before, so that extra care is taken while preparing your meal to help prevent cross contamination. Our dedicated kitchen staff are happy to help.

Do You Have A Gluten Friendly Options?
Yes we do offer options but are not recommended for those with a gluten sensitivity, our gluten free options is not for a person with Coeliac/Celiac disease. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that any of our food is 100% gluten or allergen free. Ingredients used in the dishes can be manufactured in factories which handle other allergens. For this reason, allergen traces may be present in all of our dishes. ALL OUR DRINKS/CAKES CONTAIN NUTS, SOY AND OTHER ALLERGENS.
