That's why we created Mates + Dates - a fresh take on meeting people that combines the fun of a social event with the opportunity to make meaningful connections.

Before the event, you'll complete our matchmaking quiz, and we'll create your own personalised timetable for the evening.

From curated one-to-one conversations and group games to shared activities and relaxed mingling, every part of the night is designed to help conversations happen naturally.

Whether you're hoping to make new vegan friends, meet someone special, or simply enjoy a brilliant night out, Mates + Dates is designed to be an experience you'll enjoy from start to finish.

The Result: Less pressure. Better connections.

FoodCycle's lovely volunteers use unwanted food to produce three course, meat-free recipe (tell them you're vegan) community meals across England, that are free to all.

FoodCycle Woolwich (map|video) is every Friday (with rare exception; I'm notified by text), at Woolwich Common Community Centre's accessible main hall.

I sometimes help the Hosting team, and have met a few other vegan volunteers, inc. chef and fellow SE18 Vegans member John, who has a vegan daughter like me :-)

P.S. You can bring food containers, in case of leftovers.
