Hamilton vs. Jefferson: The Great Debate 2017, Sun, Jan 29, 2 pm!
During their time as ranking officials in the first federal Administration, under President Washington, Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson and Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton laid down the dividing lines on many of the issues we still battle over today. Including taxes, immigration, the size of the military, foreign trade, religion, and much more. In recognition of the lasting influence of these two Founding Fathers, this unique tour of the White House area will contrast their dramatically different views; take a look at some of the important episodes in their eventful lives; and, in light of Inauguration Day, examine which sides they might have taken on the critical issues of Election 2016!
