What we're about
Lake Ridge Park Paddlers is a beginner-friendly and renter-friendly paddling group. We paddle stand up paddleboards (SUPS), kayaks, and canoes mainly out of Lake Ridge Park and Marina in Woodbridge, Virginia. Lake Ridge Park and Marina is a Prince William County park that is located on the Occoquan Reservoir. Most of our Meetups are appropriate for beginners. Some of our events are more challenging, but we always indicate this on the Meetup description. Our typical meetup event launches out of Lake Ridge Park and Marina and is usually 4 or 5 miles long. Often we go out to lunch or dinner together after a paddle. We also sponsor extended paddling trips in Florida during the winter.
Stand up paddleboards (SUPS), kayaks, and canoes can all be rented at the park at a very low price. Our meetups mostly occur on weekends, but we also meet some weekdays. Some of us, who have the proper equipment, even paddle year-round.
Lake Ridge Park Paddlers is "Private" instead of "Public" so that we can protect your privacy. In public groups, random strangers who can't be identified can view your profile and send you inappropriate messages. If you are interested in the group, join it without cost, and quit the group if it is not what you desire. We have no annual dues.
