Folks lets meet on July 6th for high-pace, interactive session.
Lets put into a perspective what we know (and what we don’t know) about the known agile scaling frameworks: LeSS, Nexus, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe. Perhaps, we can provide a light-weight reference matrix that will serve some of you in your day to day work.
Unlike previous sessions, I will try to be less of a presenter and more of a facilitator, but also contributing on par with many of you. The goal is to bring together and create a perspective about the frameworks, by comparing and contrasting them along the dimensions that seem most logical. I am proposing the following dimensions: general highlights, roles/responsibilities, artifacts, ceremonies, strengths, challenges… But we can think of more dimensions together, when we meet.
Before you come, I recommend reviewing the following:
• For LeSS (https://less.works/) (Craig Larman’s and Bas Vodde’s)
• For Nexus (https://www.scrum.org/Resources/The-Nexus-Guide) (Ken Schwaber’s)
• For Scrum @ Scale (https://www.scruminc.com/scrum-scale-case-modularity/) (Jeff Sutherland’s)
• For SAFe (http://www.scaledagileframework.com/)(Dean Leffingwell’s)
Of course, if some of good knowledge of the above frameworks, you will be very valuable contributors.
Very conveniently, we shall leverage the virtual canvas that we have available at our usual location. Some of its features can be very effectively used for our purpose. I will “prepare” the canvas remotely before the session.
I hope to see many of you there.
As last time, lets start at 5:45pm but if any of you are willing to arrive sooner and start populating the matrix, you are welcome.
