Beginner's JavaScript Game Workshop: Let's build 2D Breakout from scratch!

Join our collaborative workshop and build a simple 2D Breakout game with us! Beginners welcome! We'll be following this tutorial (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Games/Tutorials/2D_Breakout_game_pure_JavaScript), using nothing but plain vanilla JavaScript and the Canvas API.

What we'll build:
We probably won't finish in the 2.5 hours that we have, but we'll start building this classic 2D Breakout game: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Games/Tutorials/2D_Breakout_game_pure_JavaScript

What to bring:
• Your laptop, charger, and your curiosity! (Or if you don't have a laptop you can pair up with someone)
• (Optional) A small cash donation to support us -- whatever you think this workshop is worth :)
Parking and Transportation:
• Go Metro! The Metro Gold Line station (Little Tokyo / Arts District) is a 5 min walk away!
• The Joe's Parking structure is right next door at 350 E. 2nd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012, for a $5 flat fee after 4pm.
• There's free street parking after 6pm or 8pm on nearby streets; I recommend checking 3rd St. and Central Ave. See this parking map: http://bit.ly/1iu6i8p
