Hello, fellow curious coders!

I'm excited to announce that next Wednesday we'll be at Fender Guitars' famous Hollywood office for this month's mentorship night!

Join us for this unique networking mixer focused on informal mentorship, pairing up tech industry professionals with anyone curious about or new to tech.

See all details and RSVP here:
https://www.meetup.com/LearnTeachCode/events/258963767/

When: Wed Feb 27th, 7pm to 9pm
Where: Fender Musical Instruments, 1575 N Gower St
* Free validated parking inside their building!

We need more mentors!
Do you already work in tech, or have you graduated from a coding bootcamp or studied computer science? Want to give back to the community by sharing your experiences and answering questions?
*** Click here to sign up as a mentor -- we can't do these free events without your help!

Or reply to this email if you have questions about what it means to be a mentor. (It's super easy and fun!)

For learners of all skill levels, especially total beginners:
Get advice from tech industry professionals, or bring your laptop to get some hands-on help with coding! (We usually have a variety of mentors to help with everything from data science to web dev and other popular topics, tools and languages!)

Please welcome Lara Schenck, our awesome co-organizer who will be hosting February's mentor night!
You may knew Lara from the CSS.la meetups that she organizes, or from her blog posts featured on CSS Tricks, or her conference talks that she's given around the world. So definitely make time to say hello to her!

If you'd like to get involved in organizing, hosting or co-hosting our event in March or later, please reply to let us know. (Especially since I'll be away attending the Recurse Center in New York until the end of March -- this is Liz typing.)

Thank you for all your support -- let's make 2019 a great year for women in tech!

Best,

Liz Krane
