Join Left Coast Theater Co. for our twice-monthly workshops, for playwrights developing short or full-length plays with LGBT themes.
The Left Coast Theater Co., winner of a 2015 Theatre Bay Area award for Best Anthology, produces original works about the LGBT experience and welcomes all writers.
Please bring a play you're currently developing to share with the group and receive constructive feedback. Scripts, either in complete form or excerpts of longer plays, must be no more than 15 pages long. To have group participants read your play aloud, please bring one copy of your script for each character in your play; one copy for someone to read stage directions; and one copy for yourself, for note-taking purposes.
Please RSVP so we'll know how to allocate our time during the meetings.
UPDATE: For the time being, we'll be meeting at Bin 480, a restaurant/bar in the lobby of the Marriott Union Square. The restaurant area is huge, and we will be seated all the way in the back, most likely toward the left. This should give us as much privacy as possible. Please keep in mind that we need to purchase food and/or beverage in order to use this space. However, there are plenty of appetizers on the menu and the servers (so far) aren't pushy.
DIRECTIONS: When you enter the Marriott lobby, walk all the way to the back. We should be at a table on the left-hand side. If you can't find us, please call or text me (Jim) at[masked].
Parking: You might find on-street parking nearby. If not, try the Sutter-Stockton garage, which is affordable after 6 pm and is 1.5 blocks away.
