The 157th Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race

The event is immensely popular, crowds begin to gather early in the afternoon to enjoy a few beverages and treats before the action gets underway. I have selected a location mid-point which I have found to be one of the best places to watch the race. The Old Ship is a pub located on the North Side of the Thames just past the mid-point of the race. Just to the west of the pub is a large open area for people to congregate in. Gathering here people are able to either bring their own refreshments or run into the pub.
