This talk will introduce Sam's current effort to create a networked, stateful, literate programming system in Clojure. We'll discuss the history of literate programming and the creation of "microworlds", and how Clojure has a special edge in the search for humane computing interfaces.
Sam is a staff research engineer at Google X. He's been working gleefully in Clojure since 2010. Sam is the author of Cascalog 2.0 (http://cascalog.org/), Summingbird (https://github.com/twitter/summingbird) and Algebird (https://twitter.github.io/algebird/), and has been contributing lately to the SICMUtils (https://twitter.github.io/algebird/) computer algebra system.
