Python Microservices in the VFX Industry

Details
Microservices have been gaining a lot of momentum in the last couple of years, but some industries have been implementing them for a long time. One such industry is Visual Effects (VFX) for Film.
We're extremely lucky to have Oliver Shyal Beardsley talk from his first-hand experience with microservices building global production pipelines for movies such as the Harry Potter franchises, Poseidon, X-Men 3, The Da-Vinci code, Narnia, The Great Gatsby and more.
The talk will start with a brief introduction to what microservices are, and why they are useful, before diving into their use in the demanding VFX world.
Then the people behind the Python Microservices framework nameko will show us how we can do these cool things for ourselves.
Finally, there will be a lightening talk from babylon health, who will explain their microservice deployment pipeline.
We'll open up the RSVPs 2 weeks before the event.
The event will finish at 9pm but we'll be moving straight to the excellent Admiral Codrington (http://www.theadmiralcodrington.co.uk/) pub just behind Babylon to continue the discussions.
Thanks
