Upgrading your application to Python 3 + Extracting information from free text

This month's meetup will be hosted by Farfetch on their Old Street offices, featuring:

• "It's 2020, your Python 2.7 app is officially a problem", with Yeray Díaz Díaz, Freelance Software Engineer.

Yeray will be speaking about a workflow to upgrade your Python 2.7 apps to Python 3, covering communication, dependency management, code porting and potential pitfalls.

• "What's In A Name? Extracting Information From Free Text", with Artemis Nika, Data Scientist at Farfetch.

In this presentation, Artemis will be speaking about how machine learning techniques can be used to extract useful information from free text.

Talks will begin at 7PM.

The event will take place in the 8th floor of The Tower building. There will be signs and Farfetch personnel to guide attendees to the correct place.

Food and drinks will be kindly provided by Farfetch.
