The popularity of JavaScript has exploded in recent years. As a .NET web developer, you’re using it in ASP.NET (http://asp.net/) applications and have dealt with some of the shortcomings in Visual Studio’s tooling. The front-end development workflow is now tasked with unit testing, linting, minification, bundling, LESS compilation, etc. Extensions such as Web Essentials ease the pain, but they only go so far. Fortunately, Visual Studio 2015 addresses the problems by making several open-source tools, such as Grunt, first-class citizens.

In this session, you’ll get an introduction to Grunt and will learn how it can be used to automate routine development tasks in your ASP.NET (http://asp.net/) MVC projects.
