This is the Northern California branch of ManKind Project. We offer trainings and community events that we post here, and if you resonate, jump on in and join us! Our region of MKP stretches from San Luis Obispo to Redding, all of the coast in that area, and eastwards to Reno. If you have a question, we are happy to answer, or help you find an answer. The ManKind Project is a men’s community for the 21st Century. MKP is a nonprofit training and education organization with three decades of proven success hosting life-changing personal development programs to support men live within integrity, authenticity, and service. MKP supports a global network of free peer-facilitated men’s groups and powerful transformational trainings such as the acclaimed New Warrior Training Adventure (NWTA) and the NorCal-inspired Discover Your Path that you won't find anywhere else. We offer a full panoply of leadership trainings for men in any walk of life, whether community activist, MKP volunteer, or corporate soldier.
Women and therapists, anyone questioning how you fit in or if you belong, you're welcome too! Community events open to all, and while most trainings are for individuals 18 and older who identify as male, we do have offerings and specialized circles that support difference and everything in between.
We believe that emotionally mature, powerful, compassionate, and purpose-driven men will help heal some of our society’s deepest wounds. We support the powerful brilliance of men and we are willing to look at, and take full responsibility for, the pain we are also capable of creating – and suffering. We care deeply about men, our families, communities, and the planet. We support men to become wholly integrated men that balances their lover, king, warrior, and magician archetypes into congruence, strength, and mission in their life.

Discover Your Path Online Sessions
Location not specified yetJoin us for Discover Your Path! Class starts September 15 on Zoom (4 90-min sessions). Meet in the woods on Oct 3. A perfect event for men who can't take 3 days off, men with limited finances, men of difference, men who love the out of doors. Offered as pay if forward, meaning no money up front, and contribute afterwards if you find value.
Here, in places of wildness and beauty, places off the main roads, places away from the daily business of our lives … we have created an experience for men to connect to something bigger with a focused purpose. This journey first involves coming together online in preparation with a community of men to build bonds and commitment. Then we convene in a special natural setting for a full day of grounding and exploration together.
Discover Your Path is a transformative and initiatory journey for those just getting started on the path of men’s work … AND … for brothers who wish to reconnect with their essence through a supportive outdoor immersion. and reconnect to their wild spirit in the expanse of the outdoors.
All men are welcome at this experience, regardless of which other MKP programs they have attended. If you’ve already taken the NWTA, this is an excellent complement, but it’s by no means required.
