What we're about
Upcoming events (3)
This is a 4 part series, no new students after the first session without instructor approval. Note, this class is 4 sessions but does not meet on Thanksgiving and continues Dec 2.
Learn some beginning Swing moves this November. You'll learn the basics of Swing in four lessons. Swing is a whole family of dances, all of which evolved from the original swing dance, the Lindy Hop of the 1920s. With its free-wheeling style and adaptability to new kinds of music, Swing has never gone out of style. Please have clean, dry shoes and bring a water bottle. Partners preferred though not required. We cannot guarantee a partner but voluntarily rotate through the class so no one is "out" more than a minute or two.
You MUST register directly with the Village of Mount Horeb BEFORE you RSVP here as space is limited: November Swing Class: http://apm.activecommunities.com/mhrd/Activity_Search/7389

Foxtrot - You can dance like Fred and Ginger
The foxtrot is relatively simple and very versatile, giving beginners a great foundation to work with. It’s the same timing as Swing but can be danced at slow, medium or fast tempos, making it easy to move gracefully across the floor for social dancers of all skill levels.
The American Smooth version was made popular by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in the movies. When people think Ballroom, they think Foxtrot.
