CRUSH IT at the Whiteboard: Learn Visual Methods to Enhance Communication
Hosted by Madison Women in Tech
Details
Join us at Industrious on June 5th as we host Mary Michaud of VisuaLeverage (https://www.visualeverage.com/), a Madison-based visual strategy firm. Using neuroscience, art, and easy-to-follow visual methods, Mary helps people transform complex data and information into meaning and action.
Are you a project manager, developer or designer, or a professional that needs to be able to communicate complex information clearly? Join us to learn visual methods to enhance group process, and leave with useful icons, hand-lettering tips, simple diagrams, and more to make ideas "stick."
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
This workshop will offer introductory strategies to help you use visuals to move group process. In other words, you'll CRUSH IT at the whiteboard.
You'll learn the basics of "brain candy"--the kind of visual input we crave as humans. We'll practice drawing--but don't worry. No "art skills" are necessary. We believe everyone has the tools they need for this brand of visual engagement. We will give you some easy ways to explain the value of visual engagement, too. We'll ask you about common pot holes on the road to successful group process, and you'll test drive some strategies to help you gain confidence wielding the mighty dry-erase marker.
AGENDA
We'll arrive at Industrious Coworking at 5pm to network and enjoy snacks from SoHo and beverages provided by Industrious in the main space, with the conference room workshop running from 5:30pm until 7:00pm.
PARKING
There is a parking garage on the corner of Doty and Fairchild (Pressman apartments) for parking, otherwise there are usually spots next to the building on S. Carroll St.
