We're pairing up with our partners-in-crime Codecinella for this talk from WiT member Kyla Harper; learn more about Codecinella at!

"Genetic algorithm is the theory of evolution in code form. It generates quality solutions for complex problems. Join me as we discuss how the algorithm works, exploring everything from building 2D cars to playing Super Mario World."

Kyla recently joined the Ten Forward Consulting team as a support engineer. She’s passionate about honing her skill set as a Rails developer, building on her understanding of Test Driven Development, and using her expertise to benefit underserved communities.

** Can men attend? **

Yep! This event is open to the public, so all genders are welcome.

** Should I bring my kids? **

Children are welcome! This talk is more technical in nature, and we won't have specific activities for kids, but they are nonetheless welcome to attend.

** Parking **

Parking can be tough downtown, but there's street parking and several garages near the library.

** Busing **

The Central Library is a block off the Capitol Square, so numerous buses drop-off and pick-up nearby.
