What we're about

I have always been the type to go about my own business for the longest and it is about time that I slow down a bit and start to share some of the things I've come across during my continual stay in California but specifically the bay area my home.

The bay area is a hot spot for jobs and opportunities. With that....everyone from near and far tend to gravitate towards here. With so many people moving at lightning speed. I want to just slow things down a bit and whether the individual is here for 1 year or 30 years. There are opportunities at every corner to meet, make good meaningful friend.

Life can be tough especially if you're navigating the water on your own. Having a few solid friends that you build up over time not for the sake of benefiting from them but to share a common bond in a sea of confusion and "temporary" friends.

Events do not always take as place as I am the sole organizer and only active member in this group. If you are interested in wanting to have an event within this group. Feel free to reach out to me and I can assist you with the some of the process. I am pretty open to the types of events created on my page and if you feel like the event that you would like to host is specific in age. That is also okay because sometimes we just want to be able to relate to people within our own age.

Not all events will be detail oriented but that doesn't mean you should not do your part in researching ahead in order to prepare for the event such as inclination of weather, food source and proper gear into each event. Example...I may post a winter event at Yosemite and you just happened to have a 2 wheel drive and you show up with no snow chains and you are unable to attend. As a result you get upset and you message me regarding your discontent for the group and its organizer and why we should go above and beyond to detail everything for its member. Fact: In many cases, I often detail a lot of the event info and often times, people do not read it at all and all of the efforts I put in goes to waste.

Running a group takes time and effort and this isn't even including the cost which runs in the hundreds of dollars that I don't even ask of you but I am thinking about spreading some of those upkeep to my members in 2021. The estimated membership fee is $5 bucks a year.

You profile requires that you have a current photo and not some misc. artwork. This helps with identification of amongst members and the safety of everyone in the event should anything arise. If you are planning on being an active participant...this is a requirement.

FYI: From my experience of dealing with people who have no disregards for the efforts that I sometimes have to put into creating events especially those who are a last minute NO-SHOW or DROP-OFF the day before. I am starting to lose patience and have zero tolerance for any individuals that does this. As of 10/01/2020...I will remove/block any individual associated with this group who waste my time.

Sensario Experience: Field of Lights

Bruce Monroe

Found about this hidden gem from a trusted adventurer ūüėČ

Took a look at a few of the pictures and videos over the web and it looks both pretty awesome and unique.

Light Tow¬≠ers is a stun¬≠ning new exhib¬≠it at Sen¬≠so¬≠rio, cre¬≠at¬≠ed by inter¬≠na¬≠tion¬≠al¬≠ly acclaimed artist Bruce Munro to cel¬≠e¬≠brate Paso Rob¬≠les‚Äô exten¬≠sive wine coun¬≠try envi¬≠rons. Don‚Äôt miss these col¬≠or¬≠ful 6‚ÄĎfoot-tall tow¬≠ers com¬≠posed of more than 17,000 wine bot¬≠tles, illu¬≠mi¬≠nat¬≠ed with glow¬≠ing optic fibers whose col¬≠ors morph to a mov¬≠ing musi¬≠cal score.

FYI: Because the event location is located quite a bit away from the bay area. I am thinking that I would cramp this event to another day event where we can knock out two place with one stone.

The first place I would like to explore of would be Morrow Bay before we start making out way over to the Fields of Lights. The plan is to meet at Morrow Bay at 1pm and explore the area and participate maybe in an activity like paddle boarding, kayaking or simply beach exploration follow by some light dinner snack.

Important info:

Remember to buy the 7:00 PM ticket for May 1, 2021!

14,000 feet.... Nooooooooo

Santa Barbara Maritime Museum

This event is one that many of you probably have never done before!

It's Saturday morning and the first thing we do is meet at a fishing pier. Yes you got right, we will start off our morning right with fresh csight seafood straight from the fisherman themselves.

The exciting part is that... You yourself will be picking your own delicious item from a sea of options. From fresh giant sea urchins to pink rock fish to salmon to giant spider crabs. It's all there!

After selecting and purchasing your items, we will setup a tailgate at one of the local park and fire up those stove and let's start cracking a few delicious crabs and maybe grill a fresh king salmon or two.

After our bellies are stuff... We will move onto our main event. Yes the main event! Imagine seating inside a tiny little plane that has no engine whatsoever. Instead your plane will be towed 14,000 feet up into air and once you are there. The lead plane releases its rope and the only person inside your tiny glider is you and your pilot!

Soaring above the coastal hills and towns of Santa Barbara for 1 hour. You find yourself in awe and scared at the same time. The beauty of the sky, the view from above and the experience of being a bird just soaring through the air as the wind comes beneath your wings.

After our flight, we will make way to a Danish town and enjoy what else. Danish desert for an experience well deserve!

Following our Danish experience... We will drop by an Ostrich sanctuary and let's feed these giant birds! Yes, they do have emu as well and yes you certainly can feed them from your hand as long as you don't mind losing a finger while doing so.

Curious about their eggs? Why not buy one and bring it home. Yup, you got that right... Being home your very own big bird egg and make one hecka of an omelet!

Hopefully this experience will only excite you to do more and reminds that you are living your life ūü§Ēūüėč

Flight: $250
Fisherman's market: $10-100 (up to you)
Danish town$10-20
Ostrich: $6

Please note this event is still ongoing and is subject to change.

Van Gogh: Immersion Experience

Van Gogh

If you do not know who Van Gogh is...this event may not be for you.

What is the most innovative way you can think of in order for the curator to share Van Gogh countless painting with the world? Scan hundreds of images into a computer which then goes through a process of animating or bringing some of the elements in the painting to life.

This was originally stage in Canada but the demand has been so great that they had to stop resisting and bring it to us in the bay area.

Here is your chance to join me and others as we get together and explore Van Gogh painting through a different experience and that is ok immersing ourselves into the painting and be at awe.

Afterwards, we can go and grab beer and walk the piers a bit. After all...why stop at just the paint exhibit.

Event date: June 20, 2021
Time Slot: 1:00 PM
Cost: $50 bucks

Message me once you get your ticket to confirm that you are indeed going. We will be meeting just about 1/2 am hour early to meet everyone first.
