All chips for microcontrollers have Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C) and/or Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI). They have been around since the 1980s. You will find how to use these two standards. Then you will find out about the new Enhanced Serial Bus (ESB). ESB solves the problem of running out of IO pins on microcontrollers.
