What we're about

Flying is awesome. This is a group for everyone who believes that General Aviation creates better people, stronger communities, and a happier world.

We are building a home for General Aviation in Manhattan by connecting the GA community through social events, hosting expert-led educational learning sessions, and providing access to flight simulators through our Sim Lab, all right here in Manhattan.

Instrument Flight Roundtable (IFR) Meeting, March 2019

Manhattan Flight Club

Upcoming Topic: Scenario-based discussion of instrument flight situations and techniques. Target Audience: This event is suggested for instrument-rated pilots and private pilots studying for or interested in pursuing their instrument rating. Open to everyone. You do not have to be instrument rated to attend. The Instrument Flight Roundtable (at our rectangular table) is a monthly organized “hangar flying” session focused on building instrument flying proficiency. We use real-world scenarios to engage our members and allow them to share and build their flying experience. During our lively discussion, we illuminate aspects of instrument flight to help you gain a better understanding of flying “in the system.” You’ll gain increased comfort with routine flight, and sharpen skills to help cope with abnormal situations. Please bring your tablet or other device so you can look at charts as we discuss real-world instrument flying scenarios. If there’s a particular scenario or topic you’d like to discuss, or if you’ve got questions about IFR flying, you’re welcome to share them with the group too. If you cannot attend this event and have registered online, please remove your registration so others may attend.
